Rs.50,000 for Passara accident victims

The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) will pay Rs. 50,000 to victims who died in the Passara bus accident for their funeral expenses. Passenger Transport Management Minister Mahinda Amaraweera has instructed SLTB chairman Kingsley Ranawaka to compensate passengers who died and those injured in Monday’s accident.

The SLTB will take action to cater to the needs of the injured receiving hospital treatment. SLTB chairman Kingsley Ranawaka was in Passara yesterday to conduct investigations into the accident and take suitable measures.
