Measures to rebalance EPF portfolio

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) expects to rebalance the EPF investment portfolio in order to generate a higher risk-adjusted rate of return comparable to market conditions on a medium to long term horizon.

Through a comprehensive investment diversification process, CBSL would seek to capitalise on new market opportunities and instruments, according to CBSL’s roadmap 2020. Further, the bank expects to transform current paper based operations into a fully digitalised operating environment, producing a hassle free and efficient member service.

A new service window is also expected to be set up at ‘Mehevara Piyasa’ to serve the members efficiently.
