Speaker Karu Jayasuriya adjourned Parliament till next Tuesday (January 7), subsequent to the conclusion of proceedings yesterday.
Following the conclusion of House proceedings, the Speaker announced that the Parliament is adjourned and will convene again at 1.00 p.m. on January 7.
The ceremonial inauguration of the fourth session of the eighth Parliament of Sri Lanka was held last morning, during which President Gotabaya Rajapaksa delivered the policy statement of the new government.
