Four Air Force personnel killed

Four Air Force personnel were killed in an accident at Demmaladeniya area in Warakapola this morning.

The three-wheeler they were travelling in collided with a truck on Kandy-Colombo main road, the Police said.

The all four air force personnel were killed in the accident. The accident had occurred when the three-wheeler which had been returning from a funeral crashed against a truck as the driver fell asleep.

The victims were residents of Kahatagasdigiliya, Ballapana and Kosgama areas.

The driver of the container has been taken into custody.

Warakapola Police are conducting further investigations.
