The all round cricketer and vice captain Thisaga Withana Arachchige of Horizon International School, Malabe who bats right hand and bowls right arm off spin is going great guns and his fine performance with the bat has enabled his Alma Mater to book a berth in the second round of the all island under 13 division three cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association for the Singer Trophy.

Horizon International School played three matches in the first round and they defeated D. S. Senanayake Vidyalaya, Colombo, Agamathi Vidyalaya, Athurugiriya and Methodist School, Rawathawatte, Moratuwa with ease to become unbeaten group leaders.

Thisaga scored three successive centuries Against D. S. Senanayake Vidyalaya he scored an unbeaten 103 runs and versus Agamathi Vidyalaya 103 not out and against Methodist School he notched up 116 runs and all together in three outings he has scored 328 runs at an incredible average of 328.0.

Also he is a very good fielder in any position with a good arm. They are coached by former Cambrian and past Sri Lanka Womens Cricket Coach Chithral Mendis. The Principal Mrs. Mary Anne and the CEO Upul Daranagama have been very supportive for the success of their school and for Thisaga.
