The Hutch Sri Lanka Super Series Awards ceremony organised by Sri Lanka Association of Racing Drivers and Riders (SLARDAR) and the Asian Motor Racing Club (AMRC) and Colombo Motor Sports Club will be held at the Eagle Lakeside Hall in Ratmalana today. It will be sponsored by Hutch Sri Lanka Telecommunication PLC. Defence Secretary Maj. Gen. Kamal Gunaratne will be the chief guest.
Two brand new motor cycles will be presented to the best rider and driver at this awards ceremony.
The award winners will be chosen on their performance at the Foxhill Supercross, Kanway Circuit Meet, Cavalry Supercross, Commando Challenge, Katukurunda Circuit race, and Colombo Supercross.
Ashan Silva and Ushan Perera are the leading contenders for the Best Driver’s award in the SL/GT 3500cc category while Jacques Gunawardena and Evon Biaji Gunawardena are the front runners for the Best Rider’s award in the MX Racing 175-2500cc 4T/100-125cc 2T categories.
In addition to Hutch, Stafford Motor Company, distributors of Honda motor cyles, Promowatch Marketing Company, and Mobil Lubricants, are the other sponsors.
