Quadruplets born in Akurana

A mother in Akurana has given birth to quadruplets at the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital recently.

The four children of Devika Udayangani Jayasooriya of Vilanagama, Alawathugoda are in good health condition. The father of the quads, Nalinda Lakshman Wijethunga said the mother is also healthy.

Wijethunga said they would raise these four children under whatever condition. He added that they face many practical issues when raising these four children - Hiruth, Vinuth, Kenuth and Sanuth.

He added that he has to spend Rs. 1,400 for milk powder per day for the quads.

Quadruplet birth have been reported in the Akurana Divisional Secretariat.

A mother in Alawathugoda Wilanagama gave birth to quadruplets at the Peradeniya Teaching hospital. The four sons and the mother are in sound health, hospital sources said.
