Foreign couple complains theft of Rs.200,000 in private coach

Bandaragama police are investigating a theft of Rs. 200,000 which is said to have happened in a private coach plying between Bandaragama and Colombo on December 5. A foreign Couple had lodged a complaint to the Bandaragama Police in this regard.

Bandaragama Police summoned the driver and the conductor of the bus and inquired them about the theft. They had told police that they found a bag under a seat of the bus. They had not found any money in the purse. The other items in the bag had been handed over to Police.

The foreign couple had arrived in the country to spend a three-week holiday. Police had provided them with hotel facilities as they had arrived at the police in the middle of the night.
