Singer-MCA Premier T-20 tourney commences today

The 3rd phase of the 27th Singer-MCA Premier League 2020 the T-20 tournament will get underway today.

For the first time, the tournament will be conducted on league basis with the 07 participating teams pooled into 2 groups.

Pool “A” – LB Finance, MAS Unichela, John Keells and Hayleys group.

Pool “B” – Dimo, Sampath Bank and Sri Lanka Cricket Emerging Team.

In the previous tournament, which was conducted on a knock-out basis, MAS Unichela beat John Keells by 1 wicket in the final.

LB Finance was the ‘league’ winner and they shared the Knock-out title with MAS Unichela.

After the round robin stage, the first two teams of each group will play Kris-Cross in the semifinals.
