AIDS awareness programme for Ampara journalists

The Regional Director of Health Service Office in Kalmunai held an awareness programme on AIDS/HIV for Ampara District journalists at the RDHS Conference Hall in Kalmunai recently.

The journalists were taught about HIV/AIDS and its dangers.

The RDHS Office held awareness programmes for public at all the hospitals functioning under RDHS Kalmunai. The public are advised to take precautions to be free from this deadly disease. The public and journalists were taught the symptoms of HIV and treatment process once it affects a person.
