O/L examination commences today

The G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination 2019 will commence today and will last for 10 days, concluding on the 12th December.

Commissioner General of Examinations, Sanath B Pujitha, said that 717,008 candidates will sit for the exam at 4,987 examination centres this year. Of the 717,008 candidates 433,050 are school candidates while the balance 283,958 candidates are private candidates.

The commissioner general further notified that mobile phones and smartwatches will be strictly prohibited within the premises of the examination centres.
