Colts lead SSC on 1st innings

Colts CC led SSC on the first innings on day two of the 3-day semi final of the Major Emerging Inter- Club tournament at MCG Katunayake yesterday.

SSC dismissed for 128 in their first innings were 178-8 by the close in their second innings. Colts CC replied with 185 in their first innings.

Kavishka Anjula scored 64 for Colts and Akash Senaratne took 5 wickets for 67 runs for SSC. Pasindu Sooriyabandara was unbeaten on 69 in SSC’s second innings. SSC led overall by 121 runs with two wickets in hand.

Chilaw Marians CC scored 254 runs for 9 wickets in 112 overs at close in day two against Army SC. Only 58 overs were bowled on day two at the P. Sara Oval due to rain.

Nimesh Vimukthi scored 58 runs and Kavindu Irosh 56 for Chilaw Marians.
