The Yunnan Green Food Promotion and Conference, jointly organized by the Department of Commerce of Yunnan Province, the Yunnan Commercial Representative Office in Colombo, the Yunnan International Trade and Investment Service Center, the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and the Industry of Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka China Business Council will be held today and tomorrow (12 and 13).
The Yunnan Green Food Promotion will be held at the Colombo City Center today (12) and will be open for the public from 10 am to 10 pm.
The conference which will be attended by local business partners, will take place at the Galle Face Hotel tomorrow (13) from 9 am to 5 pm.
The two events are aimed at promoting fresh, healthy and organic green food from the Yunnan Province in China. The products include various varieties of organic vegetables, herbs, fruits, tea as well as flowers grown and produced in the southwestern Chinese province. The Food Promotion and the exhibition, held under the China’s One Belt and One Road initiative, will be a perfect platform for merchants to purchase and trade and it is a great opportunity for Sri Lankans to know about the Yunnan green food.
