Mishal (5 for 4) helps Nugegoda Johnians win

A fine bowling spell of 5 for 4 by Mohamed Mishal enabled St. John’s College, Nugegoda to beat Rotary International School, Nugegoda in their inter-school under 13 division three cricket tournament match on first innings by 95 runs.

By virtue of this win, Nugegoda Johnians have booked a berth in the second round. Batting first Rotary were all out for 62 runs and in reply Johnians declared at 157 for 6 with Nethula Sanketh scoring an unbeaten 56 runs and at stumps Rotary were 49 for 4.

In another game in the same age and division, Lalith Athulathmudali Vidyalaya drew with Piliyandala Central at Piliyandala.

Batting first, the visitors scored 143 runs with Risith Avishka scoring 55 runs. At stumps, Centralians were 118 for 7.
