A fine bowling spell of 8 for 36 by the captain of St. Benedicts College Kotahena Mevan Dissanayake enabled them to beat Harishcandra Vidyalaya by 120 runs on first innings in their inter-school under 13 division one tournament cricket match worked off at Negombo.
Batting first Bens scored 267 runs with Nethmika Fernando making the top score of 62 runs and Kaveen Perera bagged 4 for 66 runs. In reply hometers were all out for 47 runs and at stumps Bens were 31 for 3 in their second essay.
