Eagles win ZOBRA Tag Rugby tournament

Zahira Old Boys’ Rugby Association (ZOBRA) organized Gala Tag Rugby Carnival to mark the 10th Anniversary at the Zahira College grounds recently. Twenty-five teams from four different categories from junior and above participated.

The objective was to bring all rugby lovers together and develop the fellowship within the past rugby players. Held as a tag competition with 12 teams, competing in the Under 10 and Under 12 categories.

The main sponsor of the tournament was ex-rugby player of Zahira College and former Ambassador of Palestine Fawzan Anwer who was present as a chief guest and presented award to the captain of the Cup champion Eagles team led by Afzal Ibrahim

Principal of the Zahira College Trizviiy Marikkar, ZOBRA President Hussain Wasiq and Past President Nazeem Ghaffoor presented awards to the winners of the tournament.

Cup runners-up Tuskers team was captained by Rizwan Manan, Plate champion Knights team by M. Kais, Plate runners-up Panthers team by M. Faroon, Bowl champion Jaguars team by M. Anas, and Bowl runners-up Warriors team by Shaheem Hameed. The Namiz Memorial Trophy was won by Warriors team captained by M. Shafeek.
