Medical camp held for stranded workers in Kuwait

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kuwait organised a medical camp, in association with the Sri Lankan medical professionals residing in Kuwait, at the Embassy premises on October 11, for the benefit of the female migrant workers sheltered at the Embassy safe house.

Dr. A.H.B. Hassan and Dr. M.H.Samsuna examined 60 workers and prescribed medicines. The services rendered included free medical consultation, cardiology screening, orthopaedic consultation and dietary advice. Free medications were also provided. The Embassy organises free medical camps on a regular basis, especially for migrant workers who are not eligible to receive medical treatment at Kuwaiti hospitals.

Dr. M.A.M. Jaseem and Dr. M.U.L.M. Nawras treated patients at the medical camps held previously.
