Plot to kill Karuna Amman revealed

The security forces have been alerted that attempts may be made to assassinate Karuna Amman.

The ex-LTTEer who revealed the hidden claymore mines in Kondavil and Jaffna had revealed the assassinating attempts on interrogations.

He was arrested in Serunuwara. The claymore mines were hidden to carry out the assassination, he had revealed.

He had planned along with few others to commit the crime.

Such an attempt on Karuna Amman was revealed when Dr Shivaruban of the Palei Hospital was arrested. However, later it was revealed that it had been planned by ex-LTTErs living abroad.
