SLFP Chief Organizers of 67 electorates who oppose the Sri Lanka Freedom Party’s alliance with the Sri Lnka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) in support of Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s presidential candidacy has met with the UNP leadership to declared their support for New Democratic Front (NDF) Presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa.
These SLFP organizers held discussions with several UNP Cabinet Ministers at Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera’s residence last week, a senior UNP Cabinet Minister of the Kurunegala District told the Daily News yeaterday. Secretary of the Organization to protect the SLFP (Sri Lanka Nidahas Pakshaya Surekeeme Sanvidanaya), Rajika Kodituwakku, also told the Daily News that these Chief Organisers had committed to support the Premadasa candidacy.
