United National Party (UNP) led New Democratic Front (NDF) Presidential Candidate Sajith Premadasa visited the Kataragama Sacred City and participated in religious observances on October 12 night. He received the blessing of Kirivehera Rajamaha Viharadhipathi Ruhunu Magampattuwe Chief Sangha Nayaka Kobawaka Damminda Thera and worshipped the Kiriwehera Chaithtaya. Later he participated in a religious observance at the Kataragama Devalaya and received the blessings of the Kataragama deity. Thereafter, he visited the Abinawaramaya, Kataragama and met Viharadhipathi, Ruhunu Magampattuwe Adikarana Sanganayake Ven. Kapugama Saranatissa Nayaka Thera.
