Over 4,000 people in Badulla sought treatment for animal bites this year – Report

Over 4,000 people had sought treatment from the Badulla Hospital for animal bite from January to August this year, a report revealed.

Many of them have been bitten by dogs.

Cats, mice, giant squirrels and mongoose had attacked others.

A few had been attacked by wildboar or bats.

Men are more frequently bitten by dogs, while women are bitten by cats, the report said.
