Kahatagasdigiliya police has received a complaint against a teacher who attacked another teacher over an illegal affair. The teacher who was injured in the brawl has been hospitalised, police said.
The two female teachers of a same school in the Kahatagasgiliya Police Division have not been on speaking terms over an illegal affair for a few weeks.
They engaged in fisticuffs recently while they were on duty, police said. They have attacked each other tearing even their attires and hairs in the presence of a large number of students. A few teachers and students have separated them after much effort.
The teacher who injured her opponent has fled the area. Both parties will be summoned to the police to resolve the issue, police said.
Investigations are continuing.
