The maiden presidential campaign rally of the New Democratic Front (NDF), the coalition backing presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa, will be held at the Galle Face Green, Colombo, tomorrow (10th). Premadasa will address the rally.
A large number of NDF supporters are expected at this rally, Labour and Foreign Employment Deputy Minister Manusha Nanayakkara the news media yesterday.
Briefing the media yesterday at NDF presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa’s campaign office, the Deputy Minister said there was great enthusiasm among UNF supporters in every nook and corner of the country in attending this rally. He claimed that it would be “the largest political rally ever held in Sri Lankan history”.
He further said that the UNF candidate’s victory at the upcoming Presidential election is inevitable since the people who want democracy and an end to corruption will definitely cast their votes for Sajith Premadasa. He said the Prime Minister and other party leaders will participate in tomorrow’s rally.
