Oldest international Hotel School provides pathway for students

The International Hotel School of Mount Lavinia Hotel is the oldest private school in Sri Lanka and has a history of 28 years.

It is the only Hotel school which is linked to a premier hotel in Sri Lanka, Mount Lavinia Hotel. The International Hotel School provides the pathway for students who want to pursue their careers locally and globally. “We offer a variety of choices for students from craft courses, foundation courses to diploma courses. Students receive their theoretical knowledge at the IHS and their practical training is carried out at the Mount Lavinia Hotel.”

“Our craft courses consist of International Cookery and Pastry Bakery. Those who have passed their Ordinary Level examinations can be enrolled to follow these courses. The course consists of 04 months of theory and 02 months of practical training,” a spokesperson said..

The Foundation course in Hotel Operationsis 06 months of theory and 06 months of practical training. Once they get through the foundation course they are eligible to enroll in the Diploma Level. The 02 years Diploma in Hotel Operations is a stepping stone to your career in the hospitality industry.

They receive 1700 hours of theory and 1500 hours of practical knowledge at the world renowned Mount Lavinia Hotel.

The International Hotel School of Mount Lavinia is registered with Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission.
