Mango Tree opens in GSH Hotel Wellawatta

Adding another luxury to the GSH Hotel Wellawatta, (Great Southern) Sri Lanka’s popular food chain Mango Tree opened one their resultant in the hotel.

Managing Director, Mango Tree and Jak Tree, Viraj Panchal which service Indian and Chinese cuisine said that this is their fourth outlet and in terms of service it would be the biggest. “We would be serving both the in-house and outside guests and would also have a delivery service.”

He said that they also hope to open the Shangri-La Mall and would also create a new food outlet in Nugegoda converting an old bungalow.

The GSH hotel part of the leading business hotels in Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Sydney with over 1,000 keys situated in Galle Road offers a 24 hour reception, bar (Euphoria), free WiFi, laundry facilities and many other facilities.

The management acquired a neglected property in Wellawatte and invested over Rs. 200 million to refurbish it to a modern business class hotel, GSH Colombo.”

Director/CEO GSH hotel Deeepal Nelson said that they have also created special outdoor banquet area and will soon open their Bar for in-house guests and upmarket clientele adjoining this. “We will also introduce a gym.”

“GSH Colombo’s prolonged upcoming edifying move of spreading wings with Indian Franchise Restaurant, The Mango Tree was launched last week.” This will serve North -Indian cuisine as Buffet, A la carte, Set Menu, take away and table reservations.”

In a bid to attract the MICE market both locally and globally conference and banquet facilities to have been introduced.
