kanjipani Imran re-remanded

The Drug kingpin Mohamed Najim Mohamed Imran alias ‘Kanjipani Imran’ was today further remanded till October 18 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne.

The suspect Kanjipani Imaran was an accused of verbally abusing and issuing death threats to two constables attached to the Keselwatte Police station, over the telephone.

The Colombo Crimes Division today told the court that the Government Analyst has stated that there is a technical issue to identify the voice recordings which has been sent before the Government Analysts Department.

“The Government Analyst also stated that the Compact Disc was not enough to identify the voice verification”, CCD further stated.
