‘Sinhala as a Second Language’ awards ceremony

The awards ceremony of the ‘Sinhala as a Second Language’ programme, conducted for government officials and journalists in Ampara, was held at the Kalmunai Mahmood Ladies’ College auditorium, recently. Ampara Additional District Secretary V. Jehadeesan was the chief guest at the event.

Ampara District Secretariat National Reconciliation Development Officer P. Pragatheeskaran, Sainthamaruthu Divisional Secretariat Assistant Planning Director M. Jawfer, and Ceylon Media Forum President Riyath A. Majeed were also present. The programme was conducted by the Ministry of National Integration, Official Languages, Social Progress, and Hindu Religious Affairs Ministry.
