Central Expressway Section 2 to be opened in December

The Central Expressway Project’s Section 2 from Meerigama to Kurunegala is scheduled to be opened in December.

The project was launched in January, 2017, as a solution to the traffic congestion in the area.

The project would benefit those who are travelling between Meerigama and Kurunegala, as well as those travelling to Kandy, Mawathagama, Galagedara, and Katugasthota. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.160.8 billion.
