President before Easter Attacks PSC this morning

The Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) mandated to probe the Easter terror attacks is scheduled to meet with President Maithripala Sirisena today at 10 a.m. at the Presidential Secretariat, chair of the committee and Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri said. “We will be meeting the President today. While the session will not be open to the media, the verbatim exchange will be in the PSC report,” he told the Daily News yesterday.

The term of the PSC was further extended by Parliament today till October 31. The PSC was set up on May 22 and its term had already been extended once till September 30.

However, its term was again extended till October 31 today to give the PSC further time to finalize and submit its report.
