AIA Insurance’s Head of Marketing Shevanthie De Alwis was recognized by The World Women Leadership Congress at the recently held ‘Sri Lanka’s Woman Leaders Awards 2019’.
Having studied at Holy Family Convent Colombo, Shevanthie is a qualified Chartered Marketeer with a Master’s in Business Administration from the Australian Institute of Business. She is currently Head of Marketing at AIA Insurance Sri Lanka, part of the world’s largest life insurer, AIA Group. She is also a corporate trainer at Corporate Skills Asia.
The ‘Sri Lanka’s Woman Leaders Awards’ featured some of the best women leaders and successors in organizations that lead change, are iconic and promote an organization’s vision and mission. The Awards intend to recognize professionals who have excelled and “made a difference” to their corporation and are given based on peer recommendation and research.
AIA’s Director HR Thushari Perera congratulated Shevanthie on her achievement saying “we are proud of her recognition and we value her contribution to the business. At AIA, we are constantly encouraging people to be the best they can be, and these awards are testament that we must be doing the right thing with the right people.”
