Eleven JMI terror cadres transferred to TID

Eleven cadres of the banned terrorist organization Jama’athe Millathe Ibrahim (JMI), who were arrested by the Ampara Police last month, have now been handed over to the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) for further inquiries.

Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara told the Daily News that the arrested suspects were placed under TID custody on Tuesday (10th). The suspects are being held under 90-day detention orders by the Ampara Police. They were arrested based on intelligence information provided by the State Intelligence Service. The 11 suspects were handed over to the TID for interrogation and further investigations.

The Police Media Division said that the 11 suspects have been identified as Mohammed Mansoor Saifullah, Mohammed Riyal Mohammed Sajid, Mushtaq Ali Amhar, Mohammed Thahir Hidayatullah, Mohammed Ramsin Rufdhi Ahmed, Mohideen Bawa Mohammed Rumi, Abdul Haleem Mohammed Himas, Mohammed Casim Mohammed Akheel, Hizbullah Baas Huzni Ahmed, Mohammed Sahir Mohammadu Ahsan and Mohammadu Awthak Aniz Mohammed.
