Kudu Roshan, SLPP PS member remanded

Seven suspects including notorious underworld gangster Prasad Ruwan alias ‘Kudu Roshan’ and a Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna (SLPP) Pradeshiya Sabha member, arrested in connection with a gang war killing, were remanded till September 19 by Colombo Additional Magistrate Kanchana Neranjana de Silva. In the incident, two suspected rival underworld gangsters were hacked to death near the Madampitiya Cemetery in Grandpass

The Colombo Crimes Division informed the court that the suspects were arrested by the Special Task Force in connection with the murder of two persons including “Aanamaalu Ranga’ at the Madampitiya cemetery in Grandpass on August 15.

The CCD further informed the court that the SLPP Pradeshiya Sabha member was found together with the underworld suspects including Kudu Roshan at the time of the raid.

The Magistrate instructed Prison officials to produce the suspects before court on September 19 for an identification parade.
