Trader remanded for threatening MC officials

A trader who had threatened Dambulla Municipal Council (MC) officials while they were on duty was remanded till September 18 by Dambulla Magistrate I.M.S.B. Illangasingha, recently. The suspect had been blocking an access road to a fair, as well as the path to other trade stalls.

Other traders had complained about the issue to the Dambulla Municipal Council and when the officials had arrived at the scene to settle the matter, he had threatened them.
