Samurdhi relief for 215 families in Welimada

Samurdhi benefits will be provided with 215 low-income families of Welimada very soon.

About 800,000 families are eligible to receive Samurdhi benefits.

Selecting families for providing Samurdhi was begun recently following the decision made by the government to increase the Samurdhi recipient families to 2,200,000 by 2020.

The monthly income of these families will be increased as well. Samurdhi beneficiary families will be supported in several ways to build their economy, an official of the Welimada Samurdhi Office said.
