Elpitiya PC elections: Postal voting closes on Sept 13

Applications for postal voting for the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha election will be closed on September 13, the Elections Commission announced.

The commission requests those who are eligible to cast postal votes to submit their duly filled applications on or before the said date as the incomplete or late applications will be rejected by the commission.

“The deadline given would not be extended under any circumstances”, the EC said.

The Supreme Court on August 30, 2019 ordered the Elections Commission to conduct the election for the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha, which was delayed for more than 18 months from February last year.
