Pavithri Godahewa Cookery School Moratuwa turns 35

The Pavithri Godahewa Cookery School at Moratuwa, would be celebrating their 35th year soon and is looking to introduce new courses to meet with present day requirements.

Pavithri Godahewa, a veteran in the field who had done several TV demonstrations on Cake making, said that they would woo more foreign students to follow their courses, while targeting the Maldives.

Sadly in Sri Lanka, most of the youth today are not keen on following Cake making, as most of the people order cakes online, while this self-employed avenue is drying up. “However, house wives especially out of city limits, are still keen to learn and be quailed in cake making.”

She said the second generation of students who studied with us are sending their children to learn the finer art of cake making and cookery too.

“We have decided to convert Pavithri Godahewa Cookery School in Moratuwa to a professional school, offering even a globally recognized 3 month courses tying up with an international university.”

“We have also launched our catering arm, ‘URBAN TASTE by Pavithri Godahewa’ to cater to the wedding cake market, make Morning Snack Packs for regular corporate clients and also to cater to functions.”
