Welgama corruption case fixed for order

A revision application filed by Kalutara District Parliamentarian Kumara Welgama challenging a Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court order regarding a corruption case filed by bribery commission was today fixed for order by Colombo High Court.

The Bribery Commission had filed a corruption case against Kumara Welgama for allegedly causing an unlawful loss to the government by appointing a L. A. Wimalaratne as the Deputy Chairman of the Transport Board in 2010

Colombo High Court Judge Gihan Kulatunga fixed the matter for order to be delivered on September 12.
