ME Colombo, first ‘Design Hotel’ opens in Havelock Town

Pinning another boutique hotel to the Colombo hotel landscape, ME Colombo officially opened at Havelock Town recently.

Owned by Ceyvista Leisure (Pvt) Ltd, they would reinvest further to open their third hotel in Matara, which would be a 20 roomed beach frontage luxury hotel which would be opened in 2020-21

Ceyvista Leisure’s first leisure investment in Sri Lanka was Rockwell Colombo, a 6 roomed all-suite luxury boutique hotel off Ward Place in Borella, has been ranked in top 10 hotels in Colombo (BnB category) since its inception in 2014.

The seven storied ME Colombo was designed by renowned architect Vinod Jayasinghe. The hotel offers 4 suites, 12 superior and 10 deluxe rooms.

“The main attraction of ME Colombo, is the roof top infinity swimming pool and MY Bar area, consisting of a bar and dining area with a 360-degree view of Colombo 

skyline overlooking Colts cricket grounds and Havelock Park,” said the General Manager of the hotel, Rusira Perera. “ME Colombo is a design hotel with several novel architectural themes, while all rooms are equipped with modern luxury amenities and it consists well equipped gym as well”

Their restaurant named as is ‘MY Dining’, the restaurant is led by talented executive chef Neville Sanjeewa.

MY Dining with an indoor and outdoor dining areas can accommodate over 100 guests and could also be offered for private functions. “We also welcome outsiders to use both our dining area, bar and pool and we have also launched a special membership privilege card called ‘MY Life’ for frequent guests and residents of the area,” said the front office manager Thanushka Fernando.

“We also love hosting group events, birthday parties at the rooftop or the restaurant! We also have a conference room perfect for board meetings plus business lunches and corporate dinners”

In addition, we have a special day package which offers a free superior double room as well as lunch and the use of the pool and bar. “We have also introduced special take away menus as well.”

“We have a mixed clientele, leisure and corporate, mainly from Europe, while the hotel also gaining popularity for outstation families visiting Colombo for various reasons.”
