Third Enterprise SL Exhibition in Jaffna Fort from Sept. 7–10

The third Enterprise Sri Lanka Exhibition will be held at the Jaffna Fort premises for four days from September 7 to 10. This follows a decision taken by the Finance Ministry yesterday.

The Finance Ministry which launched the Enterprise Sri Lanka Exhibition programme aimed at creating 100,000 new entrepreneurs by successfully conducting the first exhibition in the series from the Moneragala district last year, and the second in the series at Anuradhapura from July 24 to 27, Senior Deputy Treasury Secretary A.R. Deshapriya said.

The third exhibition to be held in Jaffna is aimed at creating a large number of new entrepreneurs in the fisheries, agriculture and industrial sectors, he said.

Moreover, the Jaffna exhibition is also aimed at further boosting peace, reconciliation and development, Deshapriya said.

The creation of new entrepreneurs in the Northern peninsula would be a much-needed development boost for the region, assisting to develop the country as a whole, he said.

Deshapriya said the Prime Minister’s 2025 vision of building a bright and prosperous country had been successfully implemented from the grassroots level.

The Enterprise Sri Lanka government relief loan scheme has made a great contribution towards this endeavour.

The third Enterprise Sri Lanka Exhibition in Jaffna Fort will be opened by Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera on September 7, at 11 am.

The Presidential Secretariat, Prime Minister’s Office, as well as all ministries and government departments and a large number of private sector institutions will maintain stalls at the exhibition. There will be public awareness programmes on vocational training and guidance, health, education, housing, sports and religious and cultural affairs for the benefit of the public visiting the exhibition which will have 10 major zones.

The exhibition will be open to the public daily from 9.30 am to 10 pm. There will also be special cultural displays and other entertainment programmes on each day of the exhibition.
