Three granted bail for attacking garbage tippers

Three persons who had allegedly attacked tippers carrying garbage to the Aruwakakalu Garbage dump from Colombo were arrested by the Puttalam Police yesterday.

These tippers came under attack on the Puttalam – Mannar road yesterday morning. Police said the three vehicles were damaged.

The suspects were released on cash bail of Rs.200,000 each after being produced before the Puttalam Magistrate yesterday Police said that they received complaints of attacks on vehicles carrying garbage earlier too.
