New Ayurvedic ward complex for Pallekelle

An Ayurvedic ward complex, which was constructed at a cost of Rs. 150 million was opened at the Pallekelle Aurvedic Hospital by President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday.

The construction of the complex, which consists of two separate wards for the male and female patients began in 2017.

Ayurvedic Commissioner Dr. Dhammika Abeygunawardhana said that the new ward with hundred beds, all the necessary machinery and equipment will keep the patients physically and mentally fit.

The commissioner has also expressed his confidence that the opening of this new ward will provide all facilities to both indoor and outdoor patients, who come from faraway places.
