Tight security measures for Nallur festival

Army Commander Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake told news media while on a visit to Jaffna on Tuesday (13) said there would be tight security measures at this year’s Nallur Kandaswamy Temple festival and assured that security arrangements provided during the festival would not cause any inconvenience to worshippers or those witnessing the festival activities.

The army Commander visited the famed temple, holiest Saiva Hindu shrine, and took part in observances during his visit to check on the security arrangements for the annual festival that draws tens of thousands of worshippers.
