Law magazine launch on Aug. 21

Manurawa, the annual magazine of the Law Students’ Human Rights Movement of Sri Lanka Law College will be launched on August 21, from 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm at the main hall of the Law College, Colombo.

The chief guest will be Public Trustee W.G. Sanath Weeraratne, PC.

Judges, senior lawyers, media personnel and law students have contributed articles to this 300-page magazine edited by Nirmasha Premadasa. It is published in Sinhala, Tamil and English.

Senior Attorney K. Narendra Kumar will evaluate the articles at the event. Among those scheduled to address the gathering are Law College Principal Indira Samarasinghe, PC and Law Students’ Human Rights Movement President Chamika Guruge. The Human Rights Forum website will also be inaugurated on the same day. A discussion on ‘Right to Life’ will also be held from 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm to mark Human Rights Day.
