Cambrians win by eight wickets

Prince of Wales College beat St. Annes College Kurunegala by eight wickets in their inter-school under 17 division one tournament cricket match played at Kurunegala. Batting first St. Anne’s were bundled out for a paltry 52 runs and Cambrians notched up the required score with ease.

St. Anne’s – 52 in 32 overs – (Pasindu Pathum 2/6, Kunchana Perera 3/13, Vinuja Ranpul 2/7.

Prince of Wales – 58/2 in 10.4 overs – Dinura Fernando 21 n/o, Tharindu Amerasinghe 20

Crusaders win

In another game in the on going Governors Cup Crusaders beat Old Servatius Cricket Club Matara by five wickets at Bandaragama. Taking the first lease Matara lads were all out for 125 runs with Mohamed Rashed claiming 3 for 8 runs. In reply homesters notched up the required score for the loss of 5 wickets.

Old Servatius – 125 in 45.4 overs. Ranil Rasanga 48, Naveen Sahath 32, Mohamed Rashad 3/8, Tharindu Siriwardene 2/15, Malinda Jayod 2/20, Vinidu Madushan 3/21.
