Public opinion sought to curb Colombo’s traffic snarl

The views and ideas of the public are to be sought by Police regarding measures to minimise vehicle congestion in Colombo city, Colombo DIG Champika Siriwardene said.

He said they had made this decision because the public may view this problem and the possible solutions from a different angle which may have escaped Police attention. As such, their vital suggestions too could be incorporated with those of the Police to make vehicle control measures practical.
