Woman killed by nephew

A woman died after she was struck with a pole by her nephew, in Kondayankeni, Valachchenai, last week.

She was pronounced dead on admission to the Valachchenai Hospital. According to police, she was killed over a dispute.

The deceased was identified as Rapeela (45), a resident of Manchole. The body is at the Valachchenai Hospital and the Magistrate’s inquiry and the postmortem examination was carried out yesterday.

The main suspect was taken into custody by Valachchenai Police and investigations are continuing.
