Navy nabs man with heroin

Sri Lanka Navy held a person with heroin at Palliyawasalapadu area in Kalpitiya on August 10.

A suspicious person riding a motorcycle was observed during a foot patrol carried out by the Northwest Naval Command. On investigation, the suspect was apprehended with 10mg of heroin and he was identified as a twenty-eight-year-old drug trafficker in the Kottantivu area in Puttalam.

He along with the heroin and motorcycle were handed over to Udappuwa Police for onward action.
