Hajj celebrated today

Muslims of Sri Lanka with rest of the world celebrate the Hajj Festival today.

Hajj is one of the fundamental pillars of Islam. At least once in lifetime, it is the duty of every Muslim to celebrate Hajj.Hajj Festival prayers will be held today at all the Mosques and Zaviyas and special prayers will be held for the motherland and its people.

The Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation Muslim Service will broadcast the special Hajj Festival programme over the Muslim Service from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hajj Festival prayers and Sermon will broadcast from 7.30 am to 8. 45 am at the Masjidul Abrar Jumma Mosque, Maradana Beruwela, said Muslim Service Producer S.H.M. Riza.
