Over 600 graduates receive appointments

Six hundred and eighty-nine graduates received state sector appointments from Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne at the Kalutara District Secretariat recently.

The function was organised by Kalutara District Secretary U.D.C. Jayalal. These appointments include a one-year training period and after which they would be recruited to the permanent state employee cadre.

Addressing the graduates, the Minister pointed out that no any other government has ever given such a big number of government jobs.

He further said that this government has spent so much of monies for education and many development projects.

Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne requested the graduate-trainees to work hard and perform their duties honestly and efficiently on behalf of the country.

Kalutara District Parliamentarian and Kalutara District Development Committee Chairman Laxman Ananda Wijemanna too expressed his views at the event.

Former Western Provincial Council Member and Mathugama U.N.O. Organiser Jagath Pinnagoda Vithana and Kalutara Government Agent, U.D.C. Jayalal also participated.
