SriLankan suspends Kochi flights

SrLankan Airlines has suspended flights to Kochi (Cochin), Kerala, till tomorrow, Sunday August 11 following the closure of the airport due to floods.

The Kochi Airport Authority announced today that all aircraft operations were suspended at the Kochi airport till 3 pm on Sunday, a Srilankan communique said.

Due to prevailing adverse weather conditions, a red alert has been issued for the Indian states of Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashta and Gujarat. SriLankan is offering alterative connections to passengers travelling to and from Kochi via Trivandrum and Coimbatore.
